Vaccination for Cervical Cancer

Vaccination for Cervical Cancer

Protect Her Future with a Simple, Safe Vaccine

Cervical cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting women—but the good news is, it’s largely preventable. At Jain Nursing Home, we offer HPV (Human Papillomavirus) vaccination, a proven way to protect against the virus that causes most cervical cancer cases.

What is HPV and Why Vaccinate?

HPV is a very common virus transmitted through skin-to-skin contact, often during sexual activity. Some types of HPV can lead to cervical cancer and genital warts. The vaccine helps your body build immunity before you’re exposed to the virus, offering strong protection.

Who Should Get the Vaccine?
  • Girls aged 9 to 14 – ideal age for best protection

  • Teenagers and young women up to age 26

  • In some cases, adults up to age 45 may benefit

Vaccination is most effective before the start of sexual activity, but it can still provide protection later.

Is the Vaccine Safe?

Yes. The HPV vaccine is approved by health authorities worldwide, including the WHO and Indian health bodies. It has undergone extensive research and is considered safe, well-tolerated, and effective, with minimal side effects like mild fever or soreness at the injection site.
